On April 30th, 2012 the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office, Lafourche and Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office hosted the first Annual Death and Bone Conference.
This event was attended by various law enforcement agencies and coroner's offices in 26 parishes of Louisiana.
Forensic Investigator Mark Goldman D-ABMDI presented the Role of the Coroner presentation and Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Investigations (SUIDI). This presentation helps the law enforcement agency and the coroner investigator to be the eyes and ears of the forensic pathologists in determining the cause and manner of death.
We wish to recognize Ms. Lena Camperlengo and Ms. Renee Brown-Bryant from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Atlanta, GA for helping with the educational handouts and assistance.
Mary Manhein Manhein MA Director of FACES laboratory and Forensic Anthropologist from the LSU along with Maria Allaire, MA Research Associate, FACES Laboratory and Nicole del Harris, MA Research Associate, FACES Laboratory presented a great program.
